Imported BMW R100 GS

Evening All!

Just had a call from a guy who imported himself a 1997 (!) R100 GS from Germany, and which was built by someone called Horst Kümmerlin. I'm not 100% sure about the name or spelling, but the story goes that this guy Horst was authorised by BMW to build a few or a series of GS'es after BMW stopped the production.

Does anyone of you know anything about Horst Kümmerlin or is it just another story?

Reason for asking is that the guy who imported the bike to Sweden can not have it registered and needs to get in contact with Horst Kümmerlin to get a set of documents with all specifications.

Also, does anyone of you know if it is possible to have a set of all documents for a specific vehicle from TÜV or any other authority?
