WP gabel / front fork: oil level/viscosity?
Hello everybody,
I am french, and my german is so poor that I will use english. Sorry if I appear to be rude, but I have had hard times to understand how the forum works, including how to write a profile and so on.
I own the HPN # 748, built from a 1992 R100GS with which I have travelled to South America and Russia (and in Europe as well). A great bike, the best in my opinion to travel with.
It is fitted on the front end with a WP fork, d. 48mm, 250mm stroke. At the back the bike comes with the HPN sport 1150 Ohlins shock absorber, with a 220mm stroke). I just sent the front fork for overhaul to a specialist shop. What I need to know is either the oil quantity which goes in each leg, or the oil level: In the WP owner's manual they indicate between 120mm minimum and 150mm maximum depending on the type of motorcycle. I need also to know the oil viscosity.
Can somebody help, so I can put my bike back on the road?
Thank you very much,
Serge
